Few would bet against Paris St Germain talking yet another Ligue 1 title this season – the Qatari money has ensured a squad too strong for the rest in the French Championship and already they have opened up a five point lead.PSG have won six of the last seven French league titles, leaving the rest of the pack to scrap over the two Champions League berths reserved for second and third.Tonight, the two clubs immediately behind PSG go head-to-head as Angers host lympique Marseille.
Angers have only been in the top flight since 2015 and are far exceeding expectation as they sit third on 24 points.Marseille are second on 28, coming into the game on the back of four successive wins as Andre Villas-Boas, appointed to the post before the start of the season, is beginning to get some traction.
The former Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea manager is a Jose Mourinho acolyte with the ability to return Marseille to previous heights, if not taking the title just yet.
Also in this pool, Stade Brest will host Racing Strasbourg, where South African Lebo Mothiba leads the attack, while Olympique Lyonnaise play Lille. They were the two runners-up last season but have struggled this campaign.
Lyon have recently changed coach, bringing back Rudi Garcia, let go by Marseille at the end of last season.
Lille were runners-up behind PSG last seaon -- finishing 16 points adrift -- but are back in eighth place now and in need a solid result to get themselves on track.
