Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is now favourite to be the next Premier League manager to get the sack after his side lost 3-1 to Manchester City on Sunday.
The Blues sit eighth in the standings and Lampard is 11-10 favourite to be the second manager to leave his post in the Premiership this season, the first being Slaven Bilic who departed struggling West Bromwich.
Chelsea have picked up just four points from their last six EPL outings with four losses in those games. They have managed only one clean sheet from their last eight games in all competitions.
Lampard was the league's biggest spender during the last transfer window with over 200-million Pounds outlaid. Kai Havertz joined for 72-million Pounds from Bayer Leverkusen, while Timo Werner made a 47-million Pound switch from RB Leipzig, but neither has been able to make an impact.
Doubts about Lampard's future at the club were further supported by a newspaper report that Chelsea are already looking at potential replacements. Chelsea's points’ return after 17 games is the lowest it has been in five seasons. They are currently 11 points worse off than at the same stage Lampard replaced Maurizio Sarri in 2018-19. Lampard also has the worst points-per-game average of all managers in club owner Roman Abramovich’s era.
Betting on next manager to go: Frank Lampard 11-10; Chris Wilder 3-1; Roy Hodgson 7-1; Steve Bruce 8-1; Mikel Arteta, Sam Allardyce 10-1.
